We shred real good. Ask Dick!

Cheney shills for Andersen. I give him less than a year.

so we lower the cheney indicted odds to 3-1.

and yes, virginia, the VP can be impeached, as per the constitution: "the President, Vice President, and all civil officers of the United States shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors."

Where the hell is an independent counsel? Between Bush' past behaviour and Cheney's newly-disclosed apparent impropriety, why is no one calling for an IC? I can remember back when there was just a whiff of Whitewater in the air and conservatives were screaming for an investigation. I guess they're better at filthy politics than Democrats or liberals.

The Independent Counsel law lapsed (in 1999). Thus, there is no IC, and no IC investigation.

Although, given that it is up to the Attorney General to determine if there are reasonable grounds for further investigation, I imagine it would never happen even if the IC Reauthorization Act hadn't lapsed. However, I still fail to see why there hasn't been a single call (that I've seen) for even a congressional investigation...
