The Segway took a pounding in the media ever since it plopped anticlimactically in the the public eye. But the surprising thing is that while most of us pedestrians (who can ill afford such a ridiculous toy with a cool factor of less-than-zero) laugh at the thing, the high muckety-mucks seem to be giving it a chance, from Dubya (d'oh!) to the NYPD to the USPS, where it seems the most likely fit.
