Auletta-Bush gossip in the Daily News: "He didn't free the slaves. He didn't rid the world of Hitler. He didn't even - like his father - preside over the destruction of the Berlin Wall. Yet George W. Bush tells New Yorker writer Ken Auletta: "No President has ever done more for human rights than I have.""

Then I don't see why the press don't take the Administration to task, dig for dirt. As the Republicans proved in the Clinton Years, the press does have a role -- to create scandal and wreck the work of a President who is actually trying to serve the best interests of the country, rather than just corporate interests as Cheney and company are so blatantly, egregiously doing. Why is the Paul O'Neill story sitting on page 11 of the Times? That 60 Minutes piece showed Dubya for the frat-boy, ignoramus puppet that he is. If it wasn't already obvious.
I couldn't sleep last night after watching that, especially the interchange regarding the second round of tax cuts which would benefit only the upper class:
BUSH: But what about the middle class?
CHENEY: The upper class are the entrepreneurs.
ROVE: Stick to principle. Stick to principle. Stick to principle. Stick to principle. Stick to principle. Stick to principle.
