Utopian Landscape, Part VII
I had forgotten about Komar and Melamid until I started reading this essay on Hit Song Science in today's Week in Review.

I worked on that ideal american painting project in my Nation days. The best part about it is that we expected to get survey results that would allow K&M to make the ideal painting for various demographic groups. But in the end, everyone is the same. Blue, historical figures, landscapes. Without regard to gender, race or creed, as it were.
