Have been struck by this picture a couple times today, from the funeral service for Rosa Parks. For one, it's a wonderful, emotional image; for two, the choreography of pall-bearers is clearly no accident (such things should never ben accidents) but the burliness of the lead bearers comes as a surprise -- a near-Egyptian surprise, as if her soul needs bodyguards in the afterlife. Maybe it does.
